Brad had been in Oaxaca for a month documenting the strike and the struggles of people there against an illegitimate mayor and military repression. At the protest in New York, people participated in civil disobedience by dropping a banner, locking down to the front gate, and stopping traffic. Brad was dedication to covering the impact of globalization and free trade on the people of Latin America. He spent extensive time in places like Mexico and Brazil to document situations that the mainstream media rarely cover. He will be greatly missed by the New York City activists who knew him and came out today to remember his work and the continued struggle of the people in Oaxaca.
